March 15, 2024 – After dropping their previous two games, the Saints visited Eastern Florida State College yesterday. They hoped to rekindle the spark that launched them into a four-game winning streak at the season’s start.

The Saints went on the offensive early, scoring five runs in the first three innings. The Titans fought back, threatening the Saints’ lead in the ninth with a three-run rally. The Saints held on to win 8-6.

“We had great at-bats up and down the lineup by our hitters, highlighted by [Anthony] Fimiano’s four hits,” Saints Head Coach Johnny Wiggs said. “We just need to get that kind of consistent performance on a regular basis. I really believe we are continuing to get better.”

The Titans come marching into Saints territory this Saturday, seeking revenge. The doubleheader begins at noon.

Come support the Santa Fe Saints at Harry Tholen Field, 3000 NW 83 Street, Gainesville. Admission is free.
