SF Baseball: Saints Split Doubleheader, Win Series

March 25, 2024 – The Santa Fe Saints faced conference rival the College of Central Florida Patriots to conclude a three-game series yesterday. The Saints claimed victory in the first game 2-0 at home on Thursday.

The doubleheader began with the Patriots scoring first. The Saints battled back with two runs in the fourth inning. The Patriots fought for the lead in the sixth, but the Saints held on for the 4-3 win.

The Patriots went on the offensive early and often in the second game. The Saints came alive in the sixth and eighth innings, but their efforts were not enough to overtake the Patriots. The College of Central Florida won 10-4.

“”It was a great to win another series especially against a real good team in Central Florida,” Saints Head Coach Johnny Wiggs said.

On Thursday, March 28, Santa Fe College will kick off a three-game series against Seminole State College (away).
