SF Softball: Saints Rally from Tight Defeat

March 25, 2024 – On Sunday afternoon, the Santa Fe Saints hosted a double-header against Indian River State College. This marks the first matchup this season between the Saints and the Pioneers.

The Saints took the lead in the first game early with a two-run second inning. The Pioneers battled back in the fourth and fifth. The Saints tied the score in the sixth, but the Pioneers struck hard in the eighth inning, scoring three runs for the 6-3 victory.

The Saints sought revenge in the second game. They scored three runs in the first inning. The Pioneers were not to be left behind as they drove in two runs in the third. The Saints pounced on the Pioneers in the fourth inning, piling on seven runs. This was enough to secure the 10-2 win.

The 24-11 Saints host the St. Petersburg College Titans this Tuesday, March 26 for a doubleheader. The action begins at 2 p.m.
