Health Information Professionals Week is April 15-19

April 11, 2024 – Santa Fe College (SF) and the American Health Information Management Association will honor health information professionals during Health Information Professionals Week, April 15-19.

To celebrate, health information professionals engage in focused activities at their healthcare organizations and in their communities to raise awareness of their important work. Additionally, health systems recognize the accomplishments of their health information team.

Health information professionals enhance healthcare organizations by using advanced management technology, understanding different workflows and ensuring accurate patient information. They collaborate with healthcare teams and serve various sectors such as insurance, consulting, government, pharmaceuticals, law and academia.

Charting Success in HIT

Santa Fe College’s Health Information Technology (HIT) program has, as of 2021-2022 data, a:

  • 100% Graduate rate

SF’s Health Information Technology program students are industry prepared and ready to be certified upon graduation. Being prepared for certification upon graduation shows their competence and readiness to effectively contribute to healthcare organizations, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
