April 17, 2024 – The Santa Fe Saints hosted the Seminole State College Raiders in a doubleheader yesterday. The Saints previously swept the Raiders March 19 in a doubleheader 13-0 and 11-3.
Game one went the Saints’ way. The team scored in the third inning, setting the scene for solid victory. Hope seemed lost in the fifth inning when the Raiders rallied to take the lead. The Saints battled back in the sixth to win 7-6.
The Raiders got revenge in game two, outscoring the Saints early. A grand slam in the sixth inning ensured the Raiders’ 11-4 victory.
The 32-17 Saints will host a doubleheader against the State College of Florida Manatees on Thursday, April 18. The first game starts at 2 p.m.
