April 24, 2024 – The Saints hit the road yesterday to face off against the Hillsborough Community College Hawks in Tampa. Before the match, the Saints held strong in fourth place in the conference standings, while the Hawks trailed in eleventh place. In their previous encounters back in March, the Saints dominated both times.

Yesterday’s doubleheader was a much closer-contested affair. The Saints shut out the Hawks in game one 2-0. Game two went ten innings with the Saints slipping by the Hawks 3-1.

With this victory, the Saints have qualified for the FCSAA Region VIII tournament in May. This marks their triumphant return to the tournament after a three-year hiatus.

The Saints’ overall record stands at an impressive 36-19, and they maintain a solid 27-13 record in the conference, securing fourth place as they gear up for a doubleheader at Miami Dade College on Thursday.
