SF Softball: Saints Unable to Overcome Pioneers in FCSAA Tournament Showdown

May 9, 2024 – On Wednesday, the Santa Fe College Saints traveled to Clearwater to take on the Indian River State College Pioneers in the FCSAA Tournament. The game was the fifth time the two NJCAA top-twenty teams have played this season. The Saints went 1-3 with the Pioneers during the regular season.

The Pioneers were the first to score, after both teams started slowly. Down three runs in the sixth inning, the Saints managed to score once, but couldn’t overtake the Pioneers. Indian River won 3-1.

The Saints have one more chance to remain in the tournament. They face the Eastern Florida State College Titans today at 1 p.m. You can watch the game online or keep up with the score at santafesaints.com.
