M Building will be closed during Spring Break
An asbestos abatement will take place in M Building during Spring Break (March 8-12). No faculty will be permitted in the building during the abatement, even though the contractors are removing limited amounts of non-friable asbestos material. “Non-friable” simply means that the asbestos in the building is in a form that cannot be aerosolized and therefore does not present any inhalation risks. However, this is still an active construction site and the college does not want any unsupervised individuals in the building during this time.
