BIG WEEKEND FOR BASEBALL AND FASTPITCH
Gainesville, FL – Both the baseball (9-8, 0-1 MFC) and fastpitch softball (17-3) teams have big match-ups this weekend, with the baseball team playing today (Friday) against St. John’s River CC in a Mid-Florida Conference match-up, and the fastpitch team takes on St. Pete College on Saturday in a doubleheader starting at 1:00pm.
The baseball team is looking to rebound from an 8-7 loss on Wednesday to SJRCC in what was both teams opening MFC game. Saints ace Gary Merians will get the start on the mound.
The FCCAA #2 Saints fastpitch team is set to play St. Pete on Saturday and they will also look to bounce back from an early season 4-3 defeat at the hands of the Titans (13-4-1).
Admission is free to all baseball and fastpitch games.
