The Stars of FSC-J jumped out early in the game, taking a 7-2 lead after one and a half innings. The Saints answered in a big way, scoring seven two out runs in the bottom of the second to take a 9-7 lead.

Austin Lawrence, TJ Spina and Andrew Grifol followed with back to back RBI hits and Jay Laurienzo brought the crowd to their feet with his seventh homerun of the season, plating two. Trey Griffin kept the rally going with a triple and Remes drilled his second hit of the inning up the middle to cap the scoring and give SF a 9-7 lead after two.

Santa Fe catcher Tim Remes led off the fifth with a double to start another Saints rally. Nathan Bandy followed him with a single to knock the run in and advanced on the throw into home plate. Two batters later Drew Doty singled to push the lead to 11-9.
