Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints (17-18, 6-3 MFC) rallied late in game one of a double header against Florida State College – Jacksonville, scoring three in the fifth and one in the seventh to rally for a 4-3 win.  SF rallied again in game two, but came up short in extra innings 3-2.

Amber Richardson was the pitcher of record in both games, picking up a win in game one and the loss in game two.

The Saints trailed 2-0 going into the fifth inning of the first half of the double header but scored three runs with two outs to take a 3-2 lead.  Erika Garcia, Kimberly Booker and Alaysia Miller each singled home a run in the inning, all coming with two outs.

The Stars bounced back in the seventh to even the score at 3-3 but Miller struck again, singling with the bases loaded to bring in Paige Sandiford for the winning run.

Miller finished the game 2-for-4 with two RBI.

The Saints got off to a slow start again in game two, managing just two hits through the first five innings.  Miller, having one of her best days at the plate in her collegiate career, came through once more, drilling a one out, two run homer in the bottom of the seventh to tie the score at 2-2.

FSC-J countered in the eighth with a run to go ahead 3-2 and SF went down in order in the bottom of the inning to earn a split for the Stars.

Miller was 1-for-3 with a homerun and two RBI and Ashley Holton was 1-for-3 with a double.
