Pensacola, FL – The Santa Fe Saints battled hard for three days, but came up just short in their bid for a State Title and spot in the national tournament. SF fell to Seminole State 8-2. SSC clinches a spot in the NJCAA Tournament and a shot at the State Title later today.
The Raiders came out hot and took an early 6-0 on the strength of a homerun and Santa Fe errors.
Ashley Holton did her best to keep SF in the game, belting a two run homerun to cut the deficit to 6-2.
Seminole added two insurance runs in the seventh and cut short a Saints rally to earn the victory.
Aileen Fiallo finished the game 2-for-3 and Holton was 1-for-2 with a homerun and two RBI.
The Saints finish their season with a 35-25 record
