Santa Fe family,
I am pleased to inform you that we received affirmation of SF’s accreditation at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 20 by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). This is the culmination of a many months-long self-study process, design of a Quality Enhancement Plan to improve students’ ability to navigate college and rigorous preparation for the important onsite visit.
Once again the SF community has demonstrated its high quality and dedication to student learning in meeting a very high regional accreditation standard.
Special thanks to Dr. Lisa Armour, our SACS liaison, for her accomplished leadership, guidance and firmness of purpose throughout this process.
I add my gratitude for a job well done to Dr. Vilma Fuentes and Dr. Clay Smith, co-directors of the SACS compliance report; Dr. Ed Bonahue, Dr. Curtis Jefferson and Dr. Dave Yonutas, SACS compliance experts extraordinaire; Dr. Jodi Long and Dr. Rhonda Morris, co-chairs of the QEP steering committee; numerous dedicated contributing authors and committee members and Ms. Cheryl Farrell, planner and coordinator for the onsite visit.
