Santa Fe College’s Center for Innovation and Economic Development (CIED) is partnering with the Tech Toybox to offer “Introduction to 3D Printing.” Classes are available on Thursday, June 26 and Thursday, July 10 form 6-8 p.m. The cost is $175.
The class will cover 3-D model generation using FreeCad and Slic3r, both free, open-source CAD (computer-aided design) software programs, and 3-D printing using a Mendal Max V2 printer.
The Tech Toybox is a nonprofit organization that helps inventors build prototypes. It is a tenant of the Gainesville Technology Entrepreneurship Center, which came under SF’s management earlier this year.
