PRESIDENT SASSER TO TOSS OUT FIRST PITCH ON BASEBALL OPENING DAY JAN. 29
The Santa Fe Saints are breaking in their new digs on Friday, Jan. 29, and SF President Dr. Jackson Sasser will be there to christen the new press box and dugouts by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch of the season.
Over the last few months, the renovations at the fields have included a brand new press box behind home plate for baseball and new dugouts for both baseball and fastpitch. Athletics will also honor on the field the many different people who made this dream a reality.
The athletics department would like to invite everyone on campus (and off campus) to take yourself out to the ballpark to enjoy complimentary peanuts, cracker jacks, and popcorn as the Saints open the 2016 season against Hillsborough CC.
The ceremonial first pitch will take place around 2:55 p.m. and first pitch for the game will be 3 p.m.
Admission is free at every SF baseball and fastpitch home game.
