SF WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SAINTS DOMINATE DAYTONA TO WIN 11th STRAIGHT GAME

Gainesville, Fla. – Three players finished with double double Wednesday evening as the Saints cruised to their second straight blowout win, this time over Daytona State, 101-68.

Arianna Emanuel-Wright used a big second half to finish with 22 points and 14 rebounds. The sophomore is averaging over 19 points per game in conference play. Tabitha Odabe had another double double, scoring 22 points with 12 rebounds, her third in a row and fourth in the last five games. Evelina Avleeva also completed a double double, going for 13 points and 11 rebounds. Joining those three in double figures were Tatiyana Rock (16 points, 8 assists) and Corey Staples (16 points, 6 assists).

The game was never in doubt as the Saints jumped out to a 23-14 lead after the first quarter. The more than doubled their lead by halftime, going to the locker room up 49-30.

Santa Fe continued their scoring assault in the second half and by the end of the game had eclipsed the 100-point mark for the third time this season.

The win is the 11th in a row for the Saints (15-6, 8-0 MFC), including eight in the Mid-Florida Conference.

SF will head out on the road Saturday for a 5:30 p.m. game at the College of Central Florida.
