SF’s Student Affairs Offering Mental Health Training Session

February 4, 2020 – The Santa Fe College Division of Student Affairs is pleased to offer Mental Health First Aid training. This training helps participants understand how to help students/visitors/staff members who may be experiencing a mental health-related crisis or problem on campus. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.

As we focus on continuous improvement, service excellence and campus safety in an environment where many people are experiencing mental health issues or problems, this course helps to equip staff with the tools needed to safely intervene and make appropriate referrals.

The date for the Spring 2020 training session has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2020, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in S-326. Lunch will be provided. There are 25 seats available. Staff and faculty may sign up at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F084DABAC22A3FE3-mental6.
