Santa Fe College’s Spring Into Wellness – Week 5

March 29, 2021 – Santa Fe College’s annual Spring into Wellness event began on March 1, 2021, and will run for a total of five weeks. All full and part-time employees are eligible to participate in the Spring into Wellness event. This will be our last week and the focus will be on Overall Wellness and you will have until Monday, April 5, to complete the scheduled activities and submit your confirmation. Below, you will find the list of scheduled activities for Week 5.

WEEK 5: OVERALL WELLNESS

1 Yoga Presentation – Manisha Rande will be offering two yoga sessions via Zoom,  on Tuesday March 30, and Thursday, April 1, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. To join, click the Zoom link or use meeting ID 201 418 759 and passcode: Relax. Manisha is also offering a Mindfulness workshop Friday, April 2, from 10-11 a.m. You can use the same Zoom link and password for Friday’s workshop. 2 Scavenger Hunt – You will find a fun scavenger hunt on the Well Santa Fe Team. Complete all activities on the scavenger hunt.

3 Get Cooking – Make a healthy recipe using either one of your favorites or a new healthy recipe. You can find recipes on the Well Santa Fe team on Teams.

4 FUN Bingo – You will find the FUN bingo card on Teams in the Well Santa Fe team. Complete any activities to spell FUN on the bingo card.

5 Get financially fit – Complete a budget, plan for retirement, do something to take control of your finances and get financially fit

There is still time to submit your activities for Week 4 and qualify for the weekly drawing. As a reminder, each week participants must choose two activities from the scheduled events as well as perform some type of physical activity.  The physical activity may be walking, participating in a workout video, horseback riding, swimming, gardening, running, lifting weights or any other form of physical activity and will be confirmed via a selfie. For those that are on campus, we have a campus map that shows different paths and their distance that can be found under our Well Santa Fe team on Teams. Please remember, we recommend that you consult your physician or other health care professionals before engaging in or increasing any kind of exercise.

Once you have completed the scheduled events and your physical activity for the week, send your selfie and confirmation of the completed events by email to Human.Resources@sfcollege.edu. Employees who submit confirmation of their participation in two of the week’s events as well as their selfie, will be entered into that week’s drawing and the grand prize drawing (maximum five entries per employee).
