October 4, 2023 – Santa Fe College is launching an online suicide prevention training for all students, faculty and staff.

QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training helps participants recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and then question, persuade and refer someone to help.

“With funding from the CDC and Department of Health,” Dr. Naima Brown, Vice President for Student Affairs said, “the college community has an amazing opportunity to build our capacity to combat suicide. The more people who take the course, the stronger we become.”

The first 2,000 people to complete the online course will receive a $25.00 Walmart gift certificate.

Follow these directions to sign up for the training.
