November 21, 2023 – Santa Fe College’s success belongs to our students and donors. From the classroom outwards, just one donation creates a ripple that touches one student who then becomes empowered to transform their life and the world around them. The same ripple continues to extend on and on, giving opportunities to those who can now confidently dare to dream.

Everyone touched by your impact also creates ripples. Their skills and values generate waves that touch others, including you. If Santa Fe College was a pond, our water would never be still.

Changing lives changes the community. Santa Fe College is the starting point for many students who lack direction or the means to prosper in today’s challenging world. A single donation, no matter its amount, can open many doors.

Your donation can help provide scholarships to students who might not otherwise be able to afford a college education. SF graduate Samantha Long was encouraged to apply for the Women’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship. Receiving it ignited her hopes of opening a garage.

“It’ll be a little shop where I can work on cars and trucks,” Long said. “My daughter can hang out there after school, too.”

This financial opportunity allowed Long to earn her A.A.S. in Automotive Service Management Technology.

SF graduate Troysha Floyd also received a scholarship to help her earn a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She was the first one in her family to not only attend college but also finish with a degree.

“It was just like,” Floyd said, “why can’t I do it?”

Your donation funds more than scholarships. Santa Fe College’s academic programs like ACB Excel require your generosity. The program helps parents get trained in a marketable career and technical skill, while their children receive academic enrichment.

Donations also help transform traditional lecture classrooms into dynamic, engaging active learning spaces for students. Innovative new technology like virtual reality and e-glass boards help students learn in immersive and engaging lessons.

Your ripple is not confined to academics. You can also support the renovation of space for a new arts and culture center adjacent to Blount Hall in downtown Gainesville.

Now is the time to ask yourself, “What impact do I want to make?”
