November 22, 2023 – Coming off a huge victory over Palm Beach State College, the Santa Fe Saints had the confidence to overcome another formidable team, the South Georgia State College Hawks.
Both teams started hot, exchanging three pointers in the opening moments. However, it all came down to the final seconds of play that saw the Hawks take a two-point lead. Despite Saints Guard Kevin Pazmino’s valiant attempt for a three pointer at the buzzer, the Hawks narrowly defeated the Saints 54-52.
“They fought hard,” Saints Head Coach Chris Mowry said. “We were down by 11 points at one time, but our guys didn’t give up, and we fought back and took the lead.”
The Saints fall to 5-2 this season. They hit the road to take on the Palm Beach State College Panthers this Saturday, Nov. 25.
