March 18, 2024 – After vanquishing the Manatees last week, the Santa Fe Saints faced the NJCCA #3-ranked Florida Southwestern State College Buccaneers. The Saturday doubleheader was not a repeat of their earlier performance.
The Buccaneers pulled ahead in the first game with a three-run rally. The Saints managed to put one more run on the board, but ultimately lost 6-3.
Game two looked to be all Saints when they led 3-0 in the first two innings. The third inning spelled doom when the Bucs unleashed an eight-run blast that the Saints couldn’t recover from. The Bucs won 10-3.
The Saints travel to Seminole State College on March 19 to challenge the Raiders.
