April 20, 2024 – Here’s some Santa Fe College news you might have missed:
- SF creates dedicated space for clubs: The Student Engagement Center, located on the second floor of Building S above Student Life, is a large space with multiple meeting and event spaces and as well as space to lounge with access to a computer lab.
- PTK awarded its prestigious Paragon Award to SF President Dr. Paul Broadie II: PTK members also garner multiple honors.
- SF presents the Spanish Immersion Program in Valencia, Summer 2024: Email Dr. Marcela Murillo (marcela.murillo.vdb@sfcollege.edu) or Dr. Bill Stephenson (bill.stephenson@sfcollege.edu) for information.
- Professional Development Day prize winners were announced: A total of 120 names were drawn for door prizes.
- SF Construction and Technical Programs students brought home Gold and Silver from the Skills USA Competition: The conference stands out as the top gathering of its kind in Florida.
- The SFPD is participating in the DEA’s Drug Take Back Day: They will accept unused prescription drugs from Thursday, April 25 through Sunday, April 28.
- IPS Open House is canceled: For specific information about admission to IPS programs, please contact Advising.
- SF announced the 2024 Student Exhibition for Graphic Design: This will be an evening of creativity where the work of our graphic design graduates is presented on multiple media displays.
- Spring Commencement is May 2 and 3: Visit the graduation website for additional information.
- Celebrate World Tree Kangaroo Day at the SF Teaching Zoo on May 18: Tickets are only available at the gate the day of event.
