November 30, 2023 – The Santa Fe Saints met DME Academy yesterday for the second time this season. Their first encounter ended with the Saints coming out on top 72-62. Would the Saints repeat or would DME Academy avenge their defeat?
The Saints exploded from the outset and never relented. They led the first three periods 27-6, 21-8 and 27-19. DME Academy tried to bounce back in the fourth period, but their efforts were not enough to overcome the Saints’ onslaught. Santa Fe College won 89-51.
“We played the best we’ve played all year,” Saints Head Coach Russ Jackson said. “If we can continue to play that way and grow, we will make solid strides.”
The Saints play two road games before returning home Wednesday, Dec. 13 to host the Daytona State College Falcons.
